Theme

I think the theme of It Happened To Nancy, is that you can't trust people now a days. And the people you thought they were, aren't what they seemed. It's sad how people dill with this, they either get a disease, get hurt, or heart broken. It's like what happened to Nancy she fell in love but the guy she liked turned out to be another guy and a rapist! She felt disgusted, shocked, sad, and couldn't believe her eyes. It's very disturbing and disgusting how people like Collin can be like that. I hope one day they learn there lesson and stop this horrible thing! cause it hurts many people!

  1. Destiny, I like your post and I think you are very close to figuring out a theme. It does seem like trust and relationships are definitely at the center of the book. Maybe pointing out that just because someone is cute and interested in us, does not mean he is a "nice" guy. We (girls) need to protect ourselves and be careful about who we are alone with- we can't expect that every guy has the best intentions. I hope this book taught you and other girls about how careful we have to be to protect ourselves from getting physically and emotionally damaged by guys out there who only think about themselves and are kinda insane, too.
